The Akwa Filter is intended to recover drinking water from most fresh water sources such as rivers, rainwater, puddles, lakes and swamps. Its main duty is to remove water born bacteria and multiple contaminants from drinking water recovered from poor quality freshwater sources which are usually polluted.

Description

The filter operates purely on gravitational force and it’s daily output is enough to provide safe drinking water for an entire household (up to 50l per day depending on raw water quality).

Filter cartridges are made of a track membrane –
a thin polymer film of 8-10 microns thick,
each square centimeter of which contains hundreds of millions pores (exactly sized holes of 0.2 – 0.4 microns in diameter) ensuring a high filtration quality.

Filter can be placed in source water and clean water sucked out through the filters straw.
